Jeff Atwood wrathfully criticizing design of Windows Vista (the only thing it could be proud of) must have shown an antithesis as a blogger-with-100,000-subscribers. And he did.
“GUI Bloopers 2.0” in his opinion is “great platform agnostic primer of UI consistency and design guidelines”.

What is the use of authorities? They’re all good for their owners. But for us, creators and consumers of these authorities? They have magical ability of vanity freezing. Not worldly vanity, of course, but at least somebody’s and at least for some time.

Alas and alack.
Jacob Nielsen is a genius and one of a kind. He forgot more about design, than I will ever know. But I am just dazzled by his Alertbox. I have to copy the page to my little fluffy editor, where I can handle font and colors.
Nielsen requires sacrifice. But he is worth it.
